Does anyone know how to block 411 calls?
I'm on a Qwest T1 service Samsung iDCS500 About 35 users.
I looked in MMC7xx-7xx-7xx, COS, Deny Table, etc.
but for the life of me.. I can't get the "steps" right to block them.
this office dials, 9 to get an outside line, then 411, which qwest is whacking them with a $1.25 per call.
any help would be nice.
thanks

Welcome to the board Sally The questions we answer in the open forum are mostly user type questions. What you are trying to program is in the installer level programming and there are more MMC's involved. You may use the PM feature and contact an Admin. or Mod. for off the board support. You can also use the installer link above and find support in your area.

Have you asked Quest to block 411 as they will 911?
Their switch could do most anything like route 411 calls to a busy signal, but would they bother is the question.

thanks, CMDL_Guy, and Bunnie..
I have called qwest, but they say, they can't block 411 calls...
I'm currently working with a qwest tech friend of mine, I've been installing Samsungs for about 7 years now, and I have a few contacts at Qwest.. I'm hoping he can "patch" the 411 problem at Qwest's end.. but he's not sure yet..
It's just the manuals don't really GUIDE you very well in the steps to take..
PM sent to CMDL_GUY...

Have a trained technical set up LCR where when 411 is dialed it strips the 411 and adds in 1-800-fre-e411. People dialing 411 will have to listen to a 15 second ad, then they get free 411.

As a test.. I did the following:
MMC7XX Toll Deny, entered 411 and Set B Toll Type to YES.
then to:
MMC7XX ASSIGN COS, Went to TOLL TYPE feature, changed to B.
Saved and tested.. now.. no phone can dial 411, when you try, you get, TOLL RESTRICTED.
Now will changing Toll Type from the Default A, to the the type of B, have any other affect to the rest of the phone systems operations?
SLI - fax lines, phones, AA?, etc.. etc..?
thanks for you help everyone.
