I was wondering if someone could help me with the proper programming to get incoming calls to overflow to the main voicemail greeting of an OS7100. I did enter an input value of 501 (the station group I am working with) in forward trunk block, having it go to main menu. I also did the same in forward station block. This does get calls to overflow to the main menu, but now when I try to do a voicemail transfer, the call goes to the main menu instead of voicemail. Any help would be appreciated.

Thats why we are here. laugh

A little bit more information is needed for us to be able to help.

What exactly do you press or key in when trying to forward to voicemail. EG: asking the caller to hold then pressing the vt519 key then either dailing the extension number or pressing the button.

What is the end result of what you want a "transfer to voicemail" to do. Go to a general mailbox?

When trying to forward a call to voicemail, I press the vt519 key, then the extension number, then hang up. I am trying to send the caller directly to a subscriber's voicemail box.

It sounds like the extension you are transfering to does not have a mail box assigned to it. Can I assume it works for some stations and not others?

Keep in mind if you are trying to transfer to extension 501's mail box. That will not happen unless you assigned a box to that group.

I tried forwarding calls to several voicemail boxes and had the same result each time. Otherwise these voicemail boxes function properly.
If I do a regular transfer, dial the extension # and hang up, the extension rings five times, then that extension's voicemail box answers. It's only when I Press the vt519 button, dial the extension number and then hang up that the caller hears the main greeting. If I press the vt519 button and hang up without dialing an extension #, the caller also reaches the main greeting. I looked at the voicemail activity log after doing a voicemail transfer, and it doesn't seem to recognize my entry when I dial the extension # after the vt519 button.

in mmc406 send lines to grp 501,
in mmc 601, go to grp 501 and overflow it to 519.(make sure there is no mbx 501 or else it will overflow to that instead of the main greeting)
then in 601 under grp 500 overflow that to 519 as well, but make sure you have assigned a mbx for it. that way it will ring grp 501 then go to the main greetin and if they choose to go to operator it will ring grp 500 then go to operator mbx(general)500.
you dont have to mess with the forward station or trunk blocks in the voicemail.

I had group 519 set to VMAA, changed it to BI-VMS and now it seems to be working perfectly. Thanks for all your help. This group is awesome.
