Hi all
I have two 7100 connected via vpn.
I can dial the remote extentions from either side, they ring, get answered but no voice is coming through. If i connect a Samsung ip phone i do get voice. Both sites use same codecs. If i connect twe two pbxes on a local lan i do have voice. Can it be that the RTP is blocked and how do you unblock it?I only see TCP/UDP on the routers.
HELP!!

If they are connected by a VPN then there should be no ports being blocked. Are you sure its a VPN setup or are they using port forwards? If its just port forwards then a required port range is missing.

When you said the IP phone will work, have you tried one at each site talking to the remote system?

Cheers, Dave.

Low end routers use tcp/udp as the same thing they just don't list it.

I am going to guess that you don't have the mgi's assigned to trunks.

Your website does not work. I am guessing that you are new to this game. So I am going to suggest you call an installer and let them train you. It will be well worth your dollars spent. Johannesburg may have plenty.
