Setting up an 0S7200-S. Operator calls ring group 505. When caller leaves message in mailbox 505 I have auto forward set up to mailbox 3205 with MW3205 button on phones. Message is forwarded but button won't light up. I'm stumped.

Why not just put a MW505 button?

I used to do the MW505 buttons on the iDCS100's but they never worked on the 7000 series. Not sure why. I just tried this on the 7100 tonight.

Just an update. What i'm seeing is the MW button with any extension, virtual extension or station group assigned does not light up. I can get the messages but button won't light up. i'm going to default the system and try again.

We've had problems with MW keys since the r1 100's, sometimes they work sometimes they don't. Found if they don't work in the groups try Virtuals or vice versa.

Same here. MW keys worked OK sometimes on 100's but work less often on the 7000 series. I've tried keyset and installation tool programming as well as with groups, virtuals etc.

Just to update. Did a complete default and set up MW202 key on X201. Still no light. Has anyone got the MW to light up on the 7200-S?

I have never had an issue with the mw keys on OS7000 series, prior to this we just used a VG key with all phones being a member of the group.
Did you program the MW key before or after you left a message in the mailbox?
I have found that if you have messages in the mailbox and then program a mw key on a keyset it won't light up until you either leave another message, or log into the mailbox and hang up when you get the "you have x new voice messages" prompt, a few seconds after hanging up the mw key will start flashing.
We dont have the 7200-s here yet (was supposed to be out in february) so can't say specific to it.

Thanks nameless. Just programmed a VG 505 key and it appears to work! Which leads to a bunch of questions: What the heck is a VG key and how does it differ from a MW key? Does anyone know where to get a list of button functions with detailed descriptions? In the manual xxx has very little info. Thanks again!

AGAIN do not post mmc's above customer programming. Also its funny that my manuals tell me exactly what the keys are.
The key is not a US key but they seem to have left it in the US software. So get your hand on a Euro manaul and read up.
