I have just installed a 7200 for a new client who had existing MOH on their old Panasonic system. The 7200 is set up for 3 digit extensions as per the clients request.

I need to use the MOH for specific extensions only rather than on the trunk as the ISDN30 line they have is shared between three companies. Some are just going to have tone.

I was going to change the MOH from TONE in MMCXXX on each extension but don't know what number to change it to to use the external inputs. Is this the correct place?

Thanks

Jon

EDIT: Edited to remove tech level MMC.

371 if default

There must be a MISC daughterboard card installed on the MCP processor board.

I thought the 1st external MOH source was 372, 371 is tone, and 373 is the 2nd external source

You can use a PSTN trunk port for MOH if you are running 4.30 or higher software.

I've got the MISC card installed.

I think i've tried 372 & 373 but there was nothing there. I'll double check on Tuesday when I'm next back. I can't remember what software is currently running.

For some reason, the MOH source/input is always a pain. To easily locate what is the ext input set up a phone for background music and toggle with the hold on/off button until you hear music. I swear the input changes from system to system, unless it is just me.

So I've tried 372 and 373 and it won't let me enter the numbers.

I've had a look at the LCP card config in 2.2.1 and there is no tel number assigned to MOH 1 or 2 in C1. On C2 MOH2 is set to 371.

Obviously the information here is read only but I assume there must be some way of setting this information? Any ideas?

ok so i've fixed the problem. I needed to set up numbers for the MISC card using an MMC - couldn't seem to do this from the installation tool.

The MOH was appearing as C1S6 which once given a number via MMC works perfectly now.

If you want to know the MMC just PM me.

This sort of thing only usually happens when adding cards after the initialisation of the system for the 1st time.
Did you add the misc card after you had booted the system up?

I see them in C1LP on my OS7400 4.46a in the MMC
