First sorry for my bad english !

We have in a Hotel (Kasbah Hotel Chergui) a model of samsung called iDCS 500 installed by
someone who isn't still here and we have any news about him.

The problem that all programming options are blocked except some simple ones, exemple:

To program aom & master it's simple by 107 or 722 after entering 200 access code ...
but to add or modify a station number I have always a message: Not Permit ! So I have some questions:

1- Is there a master password for administration & what is it?
2- How to assign an IP?
3- We have a number of Spa blocked, it appears NPS RAUT MSG !!! How to fix it?
4- Is there a program to communicate with iDCS 500 by lan or rs232 cable?

if someone can help me, thanx in advance.

NB: I am Technician of Hotel's friend.

1 - there is no master password as such, there is a tech level password, but this may have been changed from default by the tech who did the install.

2 - This is done via Tech level programming, without the tech passcode you won't be able to see/change the current ip address

3 - I can't help with, as I have no idea what a Spa is or a NPS RAUT MSG error means.

4 - Yes, the software can use either LAN or RS232, its called officeserv manager. You will need to contact a dealer unless you can find it via a google search, or someone here sends it to you, to get a copy of it.

I can't use lan because ip not assigned, but I have a rs232 cable connected between Server and SIO2 but I need the program, searching now on Mr Google.

Spa is a service here in hotel can't explain because my bad english, you can do a search also on google.

NPS: We have this problem on 2 station numbers, spa service ====> N°315 and room N° 4 ===> Station number 204.

Dont believe you will get program by google it you might as nameless says get a samsung dealer in to sort problem out and provide the above program

Thanx to who sent me a private message, I followed the procedure: 100% working, I am now downloading system database from our iDCS 500, but must read some pdf files to understand all options.

Some questions, thanx in advance for help.

What does mean SLI and DLI? What difference between the 2?

C1-S1-P01 means Cabinet 1 Slot 1 and Port 01? is it true?

Other question: We still have the same problem: NPS on 2 stations 204 & 315, any idea?

SLI means Single line(analog) interface.
Basically the ports for connecting analog telephones,modems etc.
DLI means Digital line interface like the desktop Samsung telephones.


Yes you are correct that C1-S1-P1 would mean cabinet 1 slot 1 port 1.

Please understand that the Software you are using probably has differences to what we use her in North America.Also the Office serv manager software will have different versions and it needs to match up tp your software version in the switch.
Not sure what your NPS RAUT MSG means.Does this happen when you are trying to make an outgoing call?Is the phone toll restricted?

This happen when we are calling the stations 204 and 315. The station caller (LCD 24B) displays NPS instead displaying Ring, and the call does not occur.

I've never heard of NPS either, try dialling 4800 from the stations to clear any programmable messages. 400 to cancel DND and 600 to clear forwarding.
