Problem I set up ringing to 501 night RP1 and next port to 519 after 001 seconds and did forward trunk to mbx 501. Created mw501 key on 201,202,203 and when I manually set the mode with RP key w/ extension 1 vm answered after half a ring and could leave message and it lit key on correct stations. Problem is that when I press the key it puts me in recording instead of asking for my passcode like I expeceted, what am I missing. Trying to dumb down to answering machine, what is best way? Thanks

it's better to use a VG501 key instead of MW501. you can only set this key if the extension is a member od the group.

What you are doing sounds fine if i were you i would stick with the MW key.
It sounds like in the Voicemail EXT 501 and MBX 501 are not linked try and delete and create it again Do this with the VM admin or with the MMC Not manually.
