Customer had installed an OS500 R2 V2.48 installed Dec. 2005 with an 8WLI card, three WBS24 WAP's and WIP-5000M wireless handsets.
Can we upgrade them to the latest SMT-W5120 wireless handsets?
I assume we need to upgrade the software.
With an MGI card will an OS500 support the new WAP's and the new wireless handsets?
Thanks,

The SMT-W5120 handsets are only supported on OS7000 systems running 4.4x and higher software.
If you can get hold of some W5100's they will work.
All you would need is a MGI16 card, software upgrade of the OS500 and SMT-R2000AP's (or any wifi AP's)

Thanks Nameless,
Once you made your post, I called to double check with Samsung tech suppport. You are right that SamsungProdBulletin_215_SMT_W5120 does not mention OS500 support, but Samsung tech support says that their wireless trainer has tested the SMT-W5120 on OS500 V2.76a with success. The SMT-W5120's have to be onsite only using SIP mode. Cannot be non-SIP and to be used remotely. Thanks for your help and direction. MikeS in VA
