I have a Executone Medley 6.8 System, My voice mail on 3 of the extensions does not allow you to retrieve once you have saved the message. In other words, when you put someone into the voice mail, the voice mail pages the person who is out of the office. the person calls in to check his messages from a cell phone or home. retrieves the message and chooses to save the message until later when he can write down the numbers etc. once the message is saved you can never retrieve the message again, even though the phone shows you have old messages in the system. Does anyone know what can be done?
Second problem. 16 extension on my system.
One of the extensions (port) does not work.
it worked when it was hooked up, and 3 days later it did not work. I need the phone extension (port) and can some one tell me which card has to be replaced to correct the problem and how much.
I would appreciate anyone who can help me or put me in the right direction. I have talked to 4 technicians here in Atlanta and no one can give me an answer except it going to be expensive or so.

Try giving your voice mail a reset and see if that helps, some times they get false data camped on a feature, in your case saved messages. Just turn off the voice mail unit
and wait about 5 min. and turn back on.
As for the card, before you change it out make sure its not your phone or cord, if it works at another ext. it must be the card.
If it's the card find out witch port it is
and follow the cable from the breakout block up to the card in the system,then shut down the system and pull the card and get the info off of it. www.telbroker.com will be able to help you from there.But do some testing to make sure that it is the card.

The Medley is a ESI IVX with the Executone phones. The system cards are (4) lines by (8) phones, starting with x100 as the first port on the 25 pair. Each tail is (1) card, so if the port is on the second block, count down the station numbers (keep in mind that these phones take (4) wires each). There are (2) cards on the main KSU, and an expansion cabinet will house the additional (2) cards. Total is (16) by (32) and (2) analog ports. If the problem is "16", then I would test at the block on the last port. You will need a mod-tap device (modular plug to a 66 block) or some means to terminate your test jack. Make sure you seperate or remove the original phone from the port...(2) phones sharing the port is a really bad thing... especially on a Medley.
More than likely, you have a bad port. If so, you will need to replace the 4 by 8 card.
As for the message problem, I would suggest that a local dealer have the manufacture call in remotely and check the database...maybe upgrade to a newer version...debug for problems with pointers?
