Hey guys.

This is kind of a chat around the water cooler question but does anyone recognize the phone system used on the fox show " 24" It was used in the " counter terrorist unti(CTU)"

The phones look similar to the Panasonic phones because of the upward stance but the buttons look kind of like the ones used on the ESI systems.

I was just wondering if anyone else notices these things or if it was just me. I always try to identify a phone system when I walk in a building.

Thanks.

PS. The subject line of this thread should say " CTU" instead of " CTI". Sorry for the typo.

They look and sound like Avaya phones to me. I've spotted Nortel phones in that show as well.

West Wing has Cisco Phone in conference room but Nortel set on the President's Desk. Frasier had a Partner - tons of shows had and still have Merlin Sets.

Then there was the X-Files. Every phone, except the cell phones, was an old Vodavi black analog set, the 61612.
And yes, I do look for the phones. It really pisses off my wife.

any by the way, OCC now has a Panasonic KX-TDA 100 Phone system. Panasonics new line. A friend of mine installed it a couple months back. He is supposed to get mad and throw one of the old executones against the wall on one of the shows.

I think that show "Wings" use to have a Tie Communications phone. I could see it in the background in the air plane hanger.
