Looking for programming manual or help on setting up Model 64 phones. Recently upgraded from older model and the new model 64 won't ring in and hold button doesn't work properly.

You are going to have to access the programming either through a pc or the remote modem to change the programming on these sets. There are a number of threads on this in this section if you do a search. The 42 has a DB25 at the bottom of the cabinet for local programming and either a 300 or 1200 baud internal modem for remote programming. You would be better off using either xtalk or procomm to connect.

The programming on these systems was originally intended to be done through a specially modified Wyse 60 terminal. You can access programming with the correct emulation program on a laptop. As was said above, search this forum for the pin-outs on the cable and the correct emulations to use. ------------------ Intertel Telephone Repair Executone/Isoetec Telephone Repair [This message has been edited by paul144 (edited October 22, 2004).]

I believe only 8.2.4 level supported the M64 that is your ring problem. If you need to upgrade the software it's just a couple of chips. A standard 9 pin to 25 pin modem cable, a pc, and procomm are nessary to connect to the system directly. As for the keys on the phones the key layout is differant for each style of phone. ------------------

The software level has to support the M series phones. You need to access programming: check the software level and also see the station program screen under the "H" help section to see if your software has the M series phones in it so you can program the keys correctly.
Good Luck!!
If all else fails, use a BFH.
