So what do you guys think?

Have you seen it?

Does it have a WOW factor?

Will it add value?

Does it address any competative concerns?

Is it a reason to buy ESI over brand X?

Nice looking, I like the backlight color, similar to the backlight of the feature phones. The bases aren't very attractive but those can be hidden.

I like that they have 8 dss keys, hard to label them though because of how small the space is.

The repeaters are the real selling point. We put 3 into a warehouse environment where they had SLT cordless' and of course had bad coverage when going too far from the base. After putting in 3 each with a repeater it made a big difference for them, now they have good coverage throughout. Also the repeaters only need to be plugged into an electrical outlet, no phone cable which makes them very easy to place.

I don't have too much experience on the user end with them yet.

How about a link so we can see the product? Sounds good so far.

Sorry about the lack of a link - I meant the thread to be directed at fellow ESI resellers that already have the information.

Ed you might check out the public site.

Went through the Webinar the other day and it is nice. The thing I don't really like is the repeaters are for one unit only. I looked at the other brand Enginus and their repeater antenna will work for all handsets tied to that base. With the cordless II you have to have a phone, base and after the first repeater you have to get the install kit to add the rest. That could get costly for a company that wants multiple sets. Not down on it but I am looking at the cost factor. I do like the 8 buttons and the new look. Guess there are pros and cons with everything. ESI is still our number one product and will continue to be.

It's a good idea, but not really implemented well. The lack of a multiphone capable access point is a problem, leading into high cost if you are implementing more than one. Also the strict requirements (like the other ESI phones and licensing) where you must decide and purchase a digital, local IP or Remote IP model and if plans change you're potentially stuck with a device that no longer fits the bill.
