We are quoting a system with an ESI 100 with 12 IP phones. I need to get a IP conf unit that will work with ESI. They tell me Polycom will not work.

Thanks

Cosmo

I have been trying to get a polycom ip 4000 to work on an esi cs-100. One of the biggest headaches, and I have yet to get it working. Conflicting answers from ESI as to compatibility. In my opinion they will not work.

That is what I am hearing as well. I will just have to go with an analog unit tied to one of the analog ports on the 684 card.

Thanks Again,

Cosmo

Do you gain any functionality with an all IP unit?

We were trying to get it to work because the cabinet was full and they did not have any free analog ports, but did have unused ports on the IVC.

Justin: With a Grandstream 286 ATA (dirt cheap) all you need is a SIP license and you can use an analog conference phone. ESI lists it as one of their supported SIP devices. Tech support can convert any of your local IP licenses to a SIP license for it.

I have had the same problem with the polycom voice stations. After talking to ESI I discovered that they use the Polycom voice station 2. The reason why the other models are not working well is the flash hook duration. They suggested to change the polycom to 300 mesc from the 600 (which is default).

Has any progress been made in this area? We are also seeking a conference phone for our ESI 100. ESI has no opinion other than a polycom VS2 would work.

Any other experiences or phones that may work?

Have you tried the full duplex phone from ESI? Or is it just too large a conference room?
