I currently have 10 ext. with 6 CO lines and 8 ports on the VX2. How should the ext. keys for the users and the ext. keys for the VX2 ports be programmed?
Thanks,
Chuck

Station programming screen A.Look at an extension number for the vx2 and extension ports and check the keys as to how they are programmed.Adirect trunk key is a key for a specific line.Like if you had 3 lines then you would have keys for lines 1,2 and 3 on the sets ie key codes 001,002,003 .Trunk keys are a key(s) that grab you an available line when dialling out and where incoming calls would appear.ie key code 300 </font>

should have 2 to 4 keys with 300 subcode 20 older software, or 300 subcode 100 newer software.

If you enter oooo in first part it blanks out subcode.

To get to subcode section hit "s" when onto of the field to enter subcode.

Good Luck!!

Problem solved by adding 2nd 300 key to all exts.
I'll bet that you can't find that in a manual.
Thanks for all the help!

Actually I think you will find that in the manual.I'm pretty sure it is recommended that each station has at least 2 trunk keys so they can be on a call and have a second come to the set.I had a customer that had the same kind of problem. They had direct trunk appearances for 6 lines but the other 6 lines were utilized with 1 trunk key.If they were on a call on the trunk key and a second call came in that wasn't a direct trunk key the calls would kick back to the auto attendant because there was nowhere for it to go.

I think it says you must have atleast one trunk and a uni key, or two trunk keys.

Glad to hear it works.
