hi all,

i need info on programming an iwatsu omegaphone IV 616(ex, i think) system with regard to incoming c.o. line ringing. i realize this thing is an antique, but the customer doesn't want to spend any money. lol

they have 2 c.o. lines that need to ring on one extension. right now, only 1 c.o. rings. the company that sold/installed it is long gone. i am a toshiba man myself, but i'll try almost anything once. lol

any help would be greatly appreciated!

tia,
bill

The way it's programmed will depend on which processor the switch has. There were two distinct processors- the High Feature and the Utility series. The High Feature is programmed from the attendant phone using the CO keys and the DSS buttons on the side of the phone. The Utility series doesn't support the DAB/DAO phones, so you have to watch LEDs on the top of the attendant phone, sort of like binary coded octal indicators. Figure out which processor you have and find the appropriate manual.

You have the High Feature processor. Check the link above for a manual. System programming is not difficult if you take a few minutes to read the intro and figure out what all the buttons do. Basically, CO ringing is programmed by entering the correct program code, pressing the CO line in question, then pressing the DSS buttons of the stations you need to have ring. It's been a few years since I serviced one- I can't remember any of the key sequences or the last known location of my manual

thx for the replies!

i tried all of the above manual links without luck.
what does iwatsu call incoming c.o. line ringing as far as a program name?
i looked at an 824 programming manual and i couldn't find the program under any name i could guess it was called.

thx again,
bill

The EX824 is set up differently, and a manual for that system will be no help to you and may even confuse the situation.
