I have a vs-vml that the customer is complaining that messages are not posting to the mailbox right away. Some times 4 hours to a full day before they show up in the mailbox. Any ideas about how to fix this?

This sort of problem is usually the result of improper settings for the message waiting light, and occasionally user error as well.

Make sure the time and date is correct for the voice mail system

Check the settings in the VMI programmer in the System Integration tabs under notification. Be sure you have at least 2 ports in use for message waiting lights, and that the correct feature codes for turning the lights on and off are shown. Set the message waiting mode to Normal to force the MWL code to be sent with each new message.

Sometimes a user can inadvertently skip a message when retrieving voice mail, and this message is still considered new the next time the user logs in.

Sometimes the thoughts in my head get so bored, they go for a stroll through my mouth. This is rarely a good thing.

I've also seen this get cleared up by a reset, especially with an older model Carolina Digital Voice Mail card. There were issues early on with maintenance software on the cards. They should be cleared up on newer cards, but, it's something to think about, if the problem persists.

If the other suggested steps don't work, it's probably a software problem that only CDI (Iwatsu Support) can fix.
You may have to bite the bullet and call Iwatsu...

Thanx for the feed back. I will double check the time, box and system settings. The software is one of the latest on the 128 media card and has been running for about a year.
