have a prospective customer insisting on IP-phones with a gigabit internal switch (only one network drop to 30 desks....don't want to rewire). Anybody know of something that would work with the IPitomy system? I have a call in to my rep at IPitomy but thought I'd throw it out here too....
Thanks, Timbo

You could put another SIP phone on it. I would suggest the Siemens Openstage SIP telephone. They come in gigabit and 10/100 versions. Here is some info on them: Siemens WIKI Steve

Hmmmm....I also see that Aastra makes a SIP gigabit phone...model 6739i. Anybody use that with the IPitomy system yet? I know IPitomy likes the Aastra line of SIP phones....
Thanks for the reply about the Siemens Steve!

We don't use IPitomy, but we've got one of the Aastra 39i's in. Its pretty incredible, especially at the price point. I'm hoping to get some time freed up soon to write some apps to take advantage of the screen. The built-in Bluetooth on the phone makes it really nice for a lot of our 'picky' clients -- one less thing (headset receiver) sitting on the desk.
