I have been reading through the most of the post here. And I have learned a lot about the system. The system is running Eclispe 3.0. On the "F" screen I have 1-8 that are station cards "STN", 9-12 are GS cards(I don't know what the GS stands for). On the "GS" cards they are numbered 1-48. I figure that these are the Trunks. 1-19 are for incoming and outgoing calls, I guess!! My main question is that the phone guy before me set up 25-34 as private lines for certain people. So when people call the seven digit number they go straight to that users workstation. I want know how to set up another workstation with this option by one of the the unused numbers. Can you please help? Good old Navy still using this old system!!

GS means ground start. As for setting it up do you have access to the programming? You need to get in there to make the changes. Essentially you would program a trunk example 036 to ring only on 1 station.Station ringing is set up on the A screen for system programming. You may also need to assign a key for the trunk you designate onto the station again using the A screen.

Programming a private line. find the line number you want to use, go to the "h" screen. At the prompt, type L DR (enter line number here), then enter. This will tell you if that line rings on any other phone during day mode. If nothing appears, type L NR (line number again). this shows night mode settings for that line.
to find out if anyone else has a key for that line on their phone: L K (LINE NUMBER)
Also check the "B" screen to be sure that the line is not set as type 250 or 12 or something like that. If it's a pots or GS line, it should be type 1.
Once you verify that the line in question is not assigned anywhere else, go to the "A" screen for that phone and hit L, I or D to get to the line number. Set day ring and night ring(if desired) to Y. Hit K, K again. find an open key and enter the line number and hit enter.
Go test it.
Good luck.
If you can read this, you're in range.
