Hi all. I need advice for one of my best clients,recently i installed a camera system with dvr at his mansion,but he had some stuff stolen on his dock and in his boats, is there somekind of a perimetre alarm that i could install around the deck or some gadget that would alarm in case of an intrusion from the lake

Photobeams are going to be your best option. There are many to choose from but here is an example. If you open the installation manual on the link you will get an excellent idea of what you are in for as far as the installation. They are quite expensive to install because of the buried cable and power supply needed but you did use the word "mansion" in describing the customer's house so that shouldn't be a problem. ADI has a decent selection also.

There are a myriad of sensors available. Photo as mentioned above also magnetic, pressure, infra-red and the use of digital video with special zone software. There's also many types of boat alarms. This is a very specialized field and maybe a referral with finders fee is in order!
