We're taking over from a different vendor, the system is configured at 8x24.
Couple questions: 1. Does the VM connect via digital ports? I assume so since there isn't the analog adaptor I was expecting to see.
2. What kind of length can the system push a digital signal?

If you are using the Sprint Protege Voice, yes it uses 2 digital ports, and the VM then converts those to ports to 4 analog ports using the B1 and B2 ports numbering plan.
Remember, just because it didn't come with an analog adapter doesn't mean you don't need one.
The Sprint Digital Voice uses analog ports and needs an analog adapter.
Here is an easy way to remember: If the VM says Sprint Digital...you need and analog adapter; and if it say's Sprint Protege...it doesn't.

OOPS... In answer to Question 2: 1000 ft digital and 2000 ft analog.
So, in theory, you can install an analog adapter 1000 feet away from the KSU and then extend the analog device another 2000 feet.
I have had to use this setup a couple of times for loud bells et cetera.
