I have Coral III ver 8 MWI problem. At some point it will not turn on anymore MWI's. I get message of resource pool exhausted. I can turn one off and then be able to turn another one on. I have no idea how man yare actually on at the time. Anyone know how this limit is determined? And is there a way to globally turn them all off

Wow, something I have never heard of before after 15+ years! Well, the bad thing is that version 8 has been discontinued for a LONG time and no tech support from Tadiran is available to you or a tech that comes out. Hopefully someone has seen this before and can clear it up for you.

I've determined it is some kind of limit that has been reached. I'm finding phones, including analog that have multiple MWI left at them. Once I cancel these others MWI's will work. Is there any way to clear these out of the system? A 1st initialization did not do it

Without defaulting the database I don't know of any easy way to do it. I mean you could setup the attendant so that IT can go through and try and dismiss the MWI on every phone but depending on the sheer size that could be rough. It's POSSIBLE that it could be tied into camp on and that there are camp on that aren't clearing at night..but I have never heard of a limit being reached. You might have to bit the bullet do and ASCII or reprogram the system to clear it then adjust the COS so that only extensions that are supposed to set MWI can and do. But, like I said version 8 isn't supported and it's WAY WAY WAY out of date. The good news is that if your system is a 4GC you can get the latest software with a cpu upgrade. If you have a Coral III svc (rare) then you can do a version 14.67 upgrade with processor upgrade.

I tried using the 156 att feature code, but that doesn't seem to turn off the light for one that was turned on by 175 from someone else

How can you just cancel an MWI at a analog telephone. The 175 code rings back to the person that sent it, but if they don't answer it stays lit.

You have to turn off the auto reurn call for analog phones. Not sure if that is possible on vers 8. But after you alter that setting it's #5 10.

Doesn't appear to be an COS option on ver 8
