FYI: Tip n Ring recently paid us in full for all outstanding invoices. One invoice went back 6 months.

Obviously each of us needs to make our own decision about taking this type of work. Be very cautious about working with/for nationals.

To make a final update - THEY PAID in September!! I almost fell off my chair when I heard. The payment came about 2 weeks after I sent a certified letter to Kandy and Bill Jolly. Go figure!

I love the way this Co in question is called a "National" by most of us........

In reality they are no bigger or Different to most of us, they just got a luck break through a relationship and used most of us & others to pretend to their client that they actually were a "national"

I just got a call from Tip 'n' Ring. They say they are going to give me a lot of work. They want terms of 45 days. I remembered their name from this forum and checked it out. Now I think I should ask for a credit card.

I put a clause in my work agreement saying the end user will pay me dirctly if a third party does not. I usually get the end user to sign this. Problem is that it takes alot of time running around after the end user even if they pay in the end. I can't get paid for time spent on collections even though it is in my contract. Somehow judges don't think non-attorney time is worth anything. Also I am not interested in being a debt collector. It is aggravating.

"I put a clause in my work agreement saying the end user will pay me dirctly if a third party does not"

The end user when I dealt with T & R was a huge national bank's Mortgage division.

The only reason I got my money owed was because I filled a Claim in the NJ court, but to be honest they have Zero control over T & R who are based in KS.

Ditto above if you have to deal with these people process their CC info before doing the call.

IMHO even if companies like T & R did pay within 45 days, the Dollar value of the work they give you versus the paperwork/phonecalls & hassle they give you makes it not worth doing in the first place.

We did accept a dispatch recently for Tip and Ring, agreed to Credit card payment due upon completion of project. Once the invoice was submitted the following day, and phone calls were placed, imagine this, NO ONE would return our calls to give us the credit card number. Had to threaten removing our cable to get Billy JOlly to return our call. Hummm. He of course stated he was unaware we were not paid, even though emails were sent. Once credit card was run, we simply told them to remove us from the dispatch list.
