I have a spare CPC. I do so because I can't afford to be down even for a hour. What steps do I have to take to switch from my main CPC to my backup spare CPC in the event of a failure. I'm trying to get step by step insructions on what to do so I can test trying this and then I will be ready in the event of a failure.

this is a good question. Since Inter-Tel went to a licensed based CPC having a hot back-up is not as simple as having a saved DB. In order to get the new card up, you will have to download your license from Inter-Tel. This download file is unique to each CPC so i couldn't take my existing file and move it to a new card. If you have access to Inter-Tel's License Center, you can transfer the existing license to the new card when the old fails in a matter of minutes.
