The SBX incorporates Virtual mailboxes (200 ~ 249), which operate in the same manner
as a Station Voice Mailbox except that no physical station is associated with the mailbox.
Calls maybe transferred to the Virtual Mailbox or routed automatically through the DID/DISA or
CCR features.
Consideration
VMIB Access must be enabled for the Virtual Mailbox to receive calls.

Setting Up a Mailbox Button
CONDITIONS
• Buttons can be set up for the following functions for a user to:
- access their own station's voice mail box to check a new or saved message.
- check for messages in, or transfer a caller directly to another mailbox in the system.
• Multiple Mailbox Buttons are only supported for VMIB. When VMIB is installed, each
digital or IP phone can have as many Mailbox Buttons programmed as there are available
Flex buttons on the phone (that is, 24 or 8 depending on the phone type).
• Multiple mailbox buttons are not available when external analog voice mail is used.
• When a message is left in a station’s mailbox, the corresponding Mailbox Button LED
flashes at the rate of 1 flash per 1000 ms.
• The VMIB Access option must be enabled for each station for which a Mailbox Button is
programmed - see ADMIN PROGRAMMING.
• Mailbox Flex buttons keys can only be programmed on digital phones.
