I have a 7100 still running v.4.53b. My VoiceMail Transfer (VT519) has been working fine. Customer called and said the after hours AA wasn't going to the right menu. After troubleshooting I found that I needed to program Forward Trunk to the right menu (2 companies, 1 system, menu determined by trunk called) based on TID. Originally I had used Direct Trunk which worked but I think the RP went straight to AA. Now the RP rings the stations groups first then overflows to AA. So i guess this prompted using Forward Trunk instead of Direct Trunk. So this was the last change to the system. Couple weeks later they complained there VoiceMail Transfer button was sending callers to the AA instead of Mailbox. The button is programmed for VT519. So they just hit the button + mailbox# and hangup. Caller is sent to AA not to mailbox. The mailboxes are working because user can access the mailbox and AA routes there on Directory lookup, just not VT. Any ideas and if related to last changes. Thanks in advance.

After reviewing the port activity the problem appears to be in choosing TID\FID on the input processor of the ForwardTrunk. I need TID to make the afterhours AA to point to the corresponding company menu based on trunk (TID) called; however this causes the VT to go to the AA menu instead of mailbox. Changing to FID corrects the VT problem but causes the afterhours AA to default to 1 of the 2 company menus instead of correct menu based on trunk called. Ex. Calls on Trunks 701-704 goes to Company A; Calls on Trunks 705 goes to Company B. Orginally all of this was done with DirectTrunk and it appeared to work. However customer wants the afterhours calls to try extensions first in case someone is working late and then overflow to AA. I thnk this change required going to ForwardTrunk instead of DirectTrunk.

I might have solved the problem. Leave on FID and use the stations groups forwarded by the trunks per company to select the corect night menues instead of the forwarding trunk.
