I last connected to the system through com port on Friday to change a station port location. When I tried to connect today, I got an error message, that it could not connect and to check perimeters. I am able to connect through Hyperterminal using 19200, 8, 1. When I hit enter, I get the login screen and can log in successfully with the installer code. I have tried over and over with the VMMI using the same settings, and no luck.

Have you reset the system?

Can't tell you what the message was... I tried all day to get it to connect. It would just it for about 20 seconds, and come back to tell me that it could not connect. I tried tonight after this message, trying the same troubleshooting I tried all day and it connect time after time. I just wonder why it connected via HT but not VMMI... FXII

Go into programming via phone and confirm com port settings.

Reset both the PC you are connecting with and the telephone system
