If you are a Vertical dealer then you should have access to VConnect, or can request an account (https://vconnect.vertical.com). Phone and system firmware are available to download from this site for both codecs.

A couple of our techs took the training class at Target for this cute little system. It seemed fundamentally flawed but I had hoped they'd make it work...

I can see that it would work great for SOHO/branch locations. While I was out in AZ for Wave training we had a Vertical project lead for the Xcelerator taking the class with us and we made it integrate with the Wave...so it does have some flexibility. We didn't get really involved with the Xcelerator, but I didn't see it as a "bad" system. It does say something though when Vertical retracted this product from the dealer channel and started bundling it for sales at Costco and with AccessLine services...

We have two systems. One system has firmware V1.5.81.4_G729. The other has V1.5.81_G729. The .4 firmware runs flawlessly and we are extremelt happy. the other system stops answering analog calls once or twice a week and then needs re-booted. I have had no luck finding the upgraded firmware which I am betting will fix this problem.
