Thank you in advance for any assistance. I have added a new CO trunk to the LSM-4. This will be the 4th line for this system. However, when I press Line 4 on my (or any) phone, I do not get a dial tone.
What is necessary to make the connection? Programing? I can not find "Line" information any where on the Inter-Tel 5000 Session Manager software that I am using.
The incoming line is via T1 through an Adtran and I do get dial tone at the RJ11 connection just prior to plugging into the LSM-4. I did have it attached to the LSM-2 (Dual-LS) as line two but same result.

Hi Paul,

Welcome to the forum. You will want to make sure that the port on the LSM-4 (Loop Start Module) is programmed in the system. The will also give you the trunk number which you can dial to see if you actually have dial tone on that port.

Next you will want to make sure that the key you deem as Line 4 on the phones is programmed correctly under keymaps.

If you are unsure where to find these areas in programming, F1 is your friend, or I would recommend contacting your dealer.

Note the trunk number that the new line is connected to i.e. '94004' or whatever. Now go to keymaps. If one is labeled 'Default' ignore it and double-click on the next one. Double-click on the keymap and change the key you want to be line 4 to the trunk number i.e '94004'.
