So I installed a brand new IP Office last Saturday. All brand new phones, 15 1416s. This happens all the time - why is it that people destroy their phones? I swear in 1 week they managed to demolish one (I mean it was trashed), damage the disply on another and at least one was so covered in PostIt notes and plastic figurines *glued* to it you could hardly tell what model it was. Not only that but almost every carefully printed Desi strip had been white-outed and in chicken scratch pen they wrote in "music" in place of MOH. I guess they were so confused they had to "correct" me. And then of course despite my training them what a call appearance is they had to rename all the CA buttons "line 1,2, 3" etc. My beautiful install looks like a drunk monkey did it. Oh yes, they lost many of the plastyic covers for the labels.

Once I leave it's theirs. As long as the check clears they can do anything they want with it, just don't expect me to warranty anything you touched. Apparently that company is run by imbiciles who hire ghetto employees who have no respect for company property nor apparently does management care.
Just walk away and never look back.

I believe most warranties state something to the effect "Under normal wear & tear." At least mine does.
If that was my client, it's simply their loss, not mine. If the phone gets trashed by them for any reason, they are free to purchase as many as they are willing to pay for.
My invoices clearly state that I warrant all materiel that is paid in full.

One of the geniuses I work with decided to tape (with packing tape) a napkin over the speaker of the brand new Cisco 7942 on his desk. We initially had some settings locked out, and they could not turn the ringer down...this was his answer. Some people!
