Hello All,

Need some help forwarding from the VM system to an extension with a KT-3 that is setup to forward to an outside line. If I try to do a Blind Transfer from the voicemail system to the phone it says the extension is invalid or busy. If the phone is not set to forward it forwards to the extension with no issue.

Does remote forwarding work if you forward the phone and call it from another extension?

Yes forwarding works perfectly fine when called from another extension.

It's usually the forwarding that doesn't work quite right, more often than voice mail programming. Does the extension you want to forward from have a mail box on the system? If your menu option is to transfer to this extension, you need to have a valid mail box for it. If you're only using this extension for remote forwarding, clear any fixed call forwarding (10.78)for the extension as well.

Turns out its an issue with the optimized routing, the voicemail doesn't like going out on trunk 0 to forward out. I set the speed dial to use trunk 2 and it forwards out fine.
