We have a 4.4 Inter-Tel system that will not allow us to call in remotely to the voice mail system. When we call in and punch in the code, we are told it is an invalid extension. The code starts with the number 2. All of the extensions in our voice mail so far are starting with the number one. Also, we have hunt groups and applications that start with the number 2 and non-associated voice mails that start with the number 3.

When you call in, are you greeted by a main auto-attendant? If so most people have the astrick button programmed to go to the VM system, but in any event, it still hands you off. For example if your AA is 2500 the * may hand you off to 2501 to access the VM system. You will need to be able to access the system and see the menus on the programming terminal for us to point you in the right direction. Also, if your company has a website, please update your profile. You will get a much better response from the techs if they know who you are. Oh and BTW,

Not sure what you mean by code to punch in, or to what you want to go to. As MacGyver said, dialing the extension number will give you either the extension or the extensions mailbox, dialing 2 will give you whatever is set up in programming for digit translations, and 3 should give you the mailbox of the non associated mailboxes.
