Evening Guys-

I have a customer who often transfers calls to an outside #, which of course ties up 2 lines to make the transfer. They use the transfer button, dial the second #, transfer the call, then hang up. Both lines stay connected throughout the call. They are asking if there is a way that after the transfer one of the lines could disconnect with the remaining call just being on 1 line.

Analog phone (POTS) lines- I told them I didn't think it was possible but would research it- I looked through the Programming Manual, and didn't see anything on disconnects-

Thanks

If your local exchange provider offers centrex-type transfer as an option, it will free up both lines. Usually there is a monthly per-line charge. You will need to press the FLASH key instead of the transfer key when transferring calls.
