I'm here!  Funny thing...My boss had me working @ my old office (Global Crossing) in Boston today. The Marathon ends in the Back Bay which is a bit of a hike from my old office which is outside the Financial District. There is a fire station on the next block, so I tend to blot out sirens. I didn't know about the bombings until my boss called to see if I was OK and if any of the transport equipment was showing unusual alarms. Shortly after we hung up, a co-worker who is based out of the old Wiltel office a few blocks away called and told me to close up and get over to his location. I called my boss who said to leave. The co-worker advised that subway service was being shut down and he wanted to give me a ride home. So aside from seeing lots of police cars, ambulances & fire trucks zipping around, there wasn't much happening on Congress Street. Sad to say that an 8 year old boy was killed by one of the blasts.
