Evening All:

Have a customer w/ a VXIII ver 7.5 The HDD died and we replaced it w/ a flash (SSD) drive.

Programmed all of the mailboxes back, all of the CCR's and everything appeared to be fine. Then late last week an end user tries to record a temporary greeting and activate it. The VMS appears to record the greeting and tells you to press 2 to activate the greeting. As soon as you press 2 it drops the call to the VMS.

I'm stumped as is the company that supplied me the SSD drive.

Thanks in advance
Edward

I believe you just record greeting then press # at the end and it is active at that point. The 2 is used if you access your mail box
after that and it alerts you that temp greeting is active press to to continue using it.

I.E enter mailbox press 3 for personal options then 1 for greetings then 2 for record then 3 for temp greeting (record greeting) then press # at the end. Then * to exit. It is now active.

When the subscriber enters their mailbox, the system notifies them if a temporary
greeting is in effect. It then prompts them to listen to the greeting (Press 1) , retain the greeting (Press 2) , or deactivate the greeting (Press 3).

I just ran thru the process on my test switch here in the shop.
Access the mailbox, go to personal options, no. 3, go to greetings, no. 1, go to record no. 2, go to 3 for temporary greeting. After you record the greeting to system prompt says "dial 2 to activate you temporary greeting" I press 2 and the system prompt says "your temporary greeting has been activated"

I dialed into the system that I am having a problem with to create a phantom box to test this with and I guess that I have bigger problems as it won't let me finish building a box either.

It sounds like you may have some corrupt BTR files. Sent you PM LMK if you got it.
