Power went out overnight and has resulted in the processor powering up but none of the extensions get power. Power failure extension 10 gets no dial tone. It's a Partner ACS 509 R8. Any suggestions on where to start looking or is it hopeless.

If it is a stand alone processor and another power cycle doesn't fix the problem...I'd replace the processor.

It's been power cycled numerous times with and without the voice mail module, the processor has been reseated in the carrier also. Anyone have a used or refurbished unit they want to sell ASAP?

Try it as a stand alone if you haven't yet

Hey wheelguy..don't have an R8 on the shelf but I have an R4 you could borrow to get them back in service at least until you get one if you need..Give me a shout

have you removed the battery's with the power off to default it ?

There was a "Know" issue with some R.7's where the processor would have a green light but all ext's would be dead.
I thought it was just a certain S/N span of R.7's.

But anyhow, if you have the stand-a-lone control unit plugged into know good A/C power and you plug a know good 2pr cord from control unit to phone,........ then yeah, your ACS is bad.

With most software releases of the R7 and the R8, the backup batteries only function is to keep the change batteries banner from appearing on the displays at x10 and x11.
