I have a 1432B Rev.I SW 13 KSU that needs to be replaced/repaired. I use a laptop to do the programing to this system. Does anyone know what the revision I need to get in order to program via LAPTOP? I know they can be programed with DSS but much faster to upload the system info I have stored.
I would appreciate any info. The customer has 6614 sets so if there is something else I could use I would be ok with that as well.

Thank You
Valerie

If I remember right any 1432 followed with B, pgm with Hyper term via serial. Line commands, pretty simple. We used to put modems for remote back in 80's.

One of the Comdial experts will have to verify.

I am pretty sure that is correct. A 1432 is a blast from the past. I would go to Hoosiers for that. If you need to replace go with the executech 2000. I bit more up to date. Will work with the executech phones. You will not be able to use the database off 1432 tho.

Now that I think of it wasn't the B if you were using it with the strap for pbx mode? Wow sorry that is a long time ago

Yep on the strap. Sold tons of them and 2264/96 with Amanda and Work Group Voice Mail.

We had a setup where we put a 66xx phone on the backboard and set park buttons usually 6. soldered on to the leds and ran on a wire to console. Took buttons and removed console power and connected
to wires. Viola, pgm button for park, press button and it would flash as long as call was parked, so recp could pick up if not retrieved. Had a weird park timer like 5min or so.
And made in USA. Tape back was weird but it worked.
I also loved the dual DSS/Speed keys. They actually gave you room to write something that made sense.

Hey that's right 1432II had the terminal program and tape backup, the B was Hybrid, right.

Any 1432 could be programmed with a VDT. The biggest change with the "B" model allowed programming from 10 and 11. These systems were bullet proof. Look for the same rev or greater or move to a 2232, 2264 or a 2000 series. The latter offering up the 67xx series phones in addition to the older models plus a VDT interface.

Thanks to all that answered. I did go to Hoosier and they couldn't get into it with VDT. I think the B also did LCD support. You are correct, these are bullet proof. This one took water and is still running. I'm old school, 30+ years. I still believe the old systems still out preform these new china ones any day.

Valerie you are correct. Give my a DSUII or FXII with Interchange voicemail and I can make it sing. Now you got me wishing for days gone past.

Anyway remember how heavy those 2264 were?

Or the 96... The power supply weighed as much as the KSU! Plug one of those in and the lights dimmed.

Agree too! They were great in their time. Still do have a 2264 running. I have a new 1432B sitting back here that I kept as a spare, if anyone needs one, good deal!
