I have a customer with a cordless x148. It is in the same group as the rest of the phones but when you dial 9, you get dead air. When you dial 9 on a digital set you get line 5(last line). What am i missing? Thanks.

If you don't have a loop key on the digital phones and what would normally be line 6 key is also something else then when you dial 9 the system can't give you line 6 so you get the next one. SLTs don't work quite the same way, they always get the last line in the first line group which in your case is line 6 or higher. You need to remove all lines after 5 from co trunk group 1 and that should fix the problem.
