You need to go into the trunk group and make sure it says 'board' for music on hold source. Jeff

Feature code 313 turns background music on and off on the phone. Jeff

On the inter-tel Axxess system, is there a way to increase the volume on the MOH? I have tried to increase the source volume but it remains at a constant low level through the moh no matter how loud I make it and I cannot find a physical volume control nor one in programming - you can hardly hear the recorfing. Thanks in adavance for help.

We had the same problem. Here is what I had to do. We purchased a cheap audio amplifier from amazon.com, sorry I couldn't find a link. It was around $30 plus we had to buy a generic AC adapter for it. It is intended to drive a small set of speakers. I took the speaker wire outputs, wired them together, then to a small mono plug adapter for the Axxess MOH port.
For our music source we use an ipod nano that we got for free because that's the only digital player we could verify would play while on AC power. Plug the headphone output into the amplifier and with both on 2/3 volume it sounds fine.
