You can use the new DK admin without the dongle but there is no conversion to go to a 670 as far as I know. Your best bet would be to download the data base of the 424i onto the DK admin. Get a second 670 cabinet if you can, and program the new 670 processor using the records you have from the DK admin.

DK admin is a great time saver for upgrading to a 670. Just a couple quick notes from my brief experience with DK Admin:
DK admin uses a serial connection, not IP, so you won't find a NIC.
You will need a PPTC-9 adapter and a 6C6P cable. If you work with CIX-40 or LVMU voicemail you should have these around.
I have found that not all DK-424 systems have the hardware installed to support a DK admin connection. I have been fortunate that the couple systems I upgraded had already been setup for DK Admin.

If you don't have an RSIU in slot 101, then a PIOU would work.

You can also use Hyper Terminal with UPLD and DWLD commands

I do this a lot as you can save the text files edit them and then re-upload back to the system.

You will still need the TTY port on either the RSIU or PIOU card.

since you just need to view system and station programming, DK admin is your best bet. You can also view call forward assignments, phone names, etc.
