Hello,

We're having some trouble with fraudulent activity ocurring on our system and we're trying to block numbers to specific countries. We have added the numbers in the Toll Deny Table, but the calls are still getting through. Is there something else that needs to be enabled in order for this to be effective?

Thanks,
Tony

Set all your voice mail ports to 'In' in 2.2.3 . That will slow them down.

This only works if you don't need any sort of external forwarding or notification from the voice mail system. If you do, then you can restrict calls in the EClass and MClass blocks.

Sometimes the thoughts in my head get so bored, they go for a stroll through my mouth. This is rarely a good thing.

Thank you. I will log into the office tomorrow and look at the EClass/MClass blocks. I appreciate the quick response.

That is what i do all the time and works 100%. Build a toll table and make sure you assign all your voicemail ports to the same table. Make sure to have 1, 0 and *67 on that deny table. program one set to that class of service to test. If your table is good, there is no way they can get out to dial long distance. Works for me every time.

Good luck

Don't forget to block the * key and # key in toll table as they could get around toll using them keys

Class 1 =A has no restrictions totally. after you add the country codes in your deny table, go onto MMC 701 and change class 1=A to class 1=B.

heads up

What I do is set all my Voicemail ports to class 30.

class 30 is a default block on external calls!

What I have noticed is they are using the alert feature so in Mclass set the Alert ports to none, but if you do what I said above with class 30 then this will not matter!

Seems you can only change the COS on the voicemail ports via the DM/IT tool btw
