Is there a way to reset passwords in web management for phone system and voice mail to default, without defaulting the whole system? (Previously employed a rogue tech who set his own passwords.) Likewise, other than the TUI, is there another way in to do a back up of everything?

Not via the web interface, you can reset them via the keyset

Nameless, How do you reset the "admin" password back to the default without defaulting the whole system (keeping the configuration of the phone system untouched)? I see that it is done via the keyset. I have the Jan, 2009 OfficeServ 7100 Technical manual, plus a MP10a processor @ version 4.30. It states that I can default the system by pressing and holding the Reset switch for 7-10 seconds during boot up sequence or live system operation, or I can go to MMC811 MEMORY CLEAR. Will either of these processes accomplish what I want in resetting the Web Admin password back to the default and keep all my phone system configurations intact? Thanks for any insight that your willing to provide.

You will need to contact a dealer in your area to have them come out and do this.

How do you reset the "admin" password back to the default?
I don't even care if settings go lost. I have held "RST" button on MP10a, but it doesen't do anything (tryed pressing it for 1sec, 20sec, 30sec etc).
I'm running Officeserv 7100 with "Web Management V4.12e 2009.10.29"

I bought the system from auction and someone has changed the password. MP10a doesent have S1 RST switch like MP10 has (Memory Backup Switch (S1))

Local Samsung support doesen't know anything about this system, neither do official Samsung workshops.

You can try removing the media card from the system. Deleting the os7100 folder.
Then hold down the reset switch for 10sec.
This will make sure the system doesn't auto restore any saved programming

Doesen't help.
System created new "os7100" folder, but it is empty now. Before deleting it had 2726 files in it.
All the settings are still same - custom IP + old custom password

Please even "scrambled" don't post passwords in the open forum

If you like to keep the system database, you need to contact Samsung tech support.
To save you time,
1- you need a letter from your customer requesting this.
2- Need a letter from your company providing the info regarding the tech that will be preforming this
send both to Samsung once its approved you call tech support from the site and they tell you how. I had to do this last month. seemed very easy but i think its diff for every site. I remember the support person asking me about the time and date on display. then had me entering some numbers on the set.

You could also do a software upgrade.
This will wipe the database (except the ip address)

If you don't care about the system database currently on there, then do as nameless says. Grab the SD file and load the current OS 4.9x files on it and reboot the system. It will default it and you will have the latest software plus a clean upload. Also, you can default it, by rebooting and waiting a few minutes (normally once the unicard lights normalize), then holding in the reset button and counting to 20. This will default everything except for the IP on the system.
