I had a MBX die on me last night. I couldn't upload my database because it now has a new software version in it. My customer said that before they more ring options than just the 4 that are in it. Is it possible to do something to allow more choices?

There are 15 ring tones, default operation user normally has access to four at a time (for different types of ringing), those four are set in pgm 265.
The user can have access to more by doing the following:
To download a Ring Tone from System memory (8012 and 8024 IP Phones only): 1. Press TRANS/PGM, 2. Dial 2 for Ring Tones, 3. Dial 3 for Ring Tone download, 4. Dial the phone's memory location to receive the tone (5-8), 5. Dial 0-9 for the desired tone number; a confirmation tone is heard, 6. Press HOLD/SAVE to download.
To select a Ring Tone from phone memory: 1. Press the TRANS/PGM button, 2. Dial 2 for Ring Tones, 3. Dial 1 or 2 for Internal or External ring, 4. Dial 1-4 to select the desired ring tone, 5. Dial 1-8 for the desired tone number; a confirmation tone is heard. 6. Press HOLD/SAVE to make the selection.
