Hello all, I have a customer of mine with an SBX system that I installed a few years ago call and let me know their service provider has blocked their international calling since they have had some questionable outbound calls from their system in the middle of the night. The system is using PRI and the phone company and Vertical are both telling me someone has probably gotten into a mailbox and dialed 9 to get access to a CO line and make outbound calls. I have tried multiple users mailboxes by dialing into the system during night mode and logging into their mailboxes. I press 9 but only get an error tone/Not a valid selection. I am currently waiting for vertical to get back to me(its Friday afternoon) so I was wondering if anyone has any Idea how I can get into a mailbox and make an outbound call. As a safety precaution, I have changed all users voicemail boxes, set SLT extensions to have no vm access.

You can't, this was done by someone on site making calls or someone accessing the PRI at the telco. If you cannot dial 9 to access a line neither can anyone else. On the other hand, DISA service, if enabled will allow remote access to a co line. I would set the system to toll restrict all phones and lines after hours (night COS) as opposed to turning off mailboxes.
