Hi Guys,

You all seem to be knowledgable on this forum so I thought I'd give asking my question a go laugh

I work for a company that has a Samsung Officeserv 7070.

I am trying to access the DM but do not have the correct password to do so.

Our VOIP provider allegedly doesn't have it, Samsung South Africa allegedly doesn't support their PABX's and referred me to their "preferred appointed distributor". Long story short, nobody is prepared to help me ( Either unwilling or unable to )

I can login via FTP into the admin account, I can login via Telnet into the admin account, however I cannot login into the DM as the password inst the same. None of the the so called "default passwords" seem to work.

Any ideas? smile

The tech who programmed the system (may be the same tech who did the install) will have changed it.

If samsung tech support (this will likely be provided by the distributor which could be a 3rd party) won't help you recover it, then you have 2 options:

factory default and reprogram the system.

Find a local dealer who can reset the password for you.

So just to be clear here..

Are you telling me there is a method to reset this password without having to reprogram the entire system?

Yes there is a procedure to reset the admin password to default.

This is not customer level programming however, you will need to find someone to do this for you. I'm surprised the distributor tech support won't help you, or at least they should be able to give you contact details of a dealer who can.

Surely you have someone you call when you need settings changed, etc?

We don't actually have a service provider for the PABX. We have a VOIP provider but thats it.

When we got the solution initially we got a a whole bunch of spare VOIP phones that were configured for future use. When a new employee joined the company we would just give them one of the spare phones. That was also the extent to which we procured services from the initial PABX provider.

That provider is now long gone and we are now in this situation of wanting to change things but cant.

Wish me luck for reconfiguring everything from scratch! grin
