I have been asked to supply a quote for a new phone system for a hotel. They have 125 rooms. The rooms would be analog phones. They have about 10 digital phones for offices, kitchen, etc. They have 10 POTS lines on the existing system.

How well would IPO work in this type of deployment?

We do Rehab facilities with IPOffice and analog phones for rooms.

ESNA Officelynx voicemail has some of the hotel/motel features built in...

Not familiar with ESNA Officelynx. Customer has said that for the time being, there is no requirement for hotel/motel software. They just need the phones w/ the ability to dial 0 to reach the front desk and a restriction to only dial toll free, local, room to room, and 911 from the rooms.

For Hotel/Motel integration, DuVoice is another great alternative.

Don't need that? Will the Embedded voicemail suffice for the office needs? IPO would work fine, meet all of your programming needs.

Was considering putting in vmpro instead of embedded. What does DuVoice gain me? This would be our first hotel/motel installation, so I feel that I am walking on egg shells...

DuVoice will interface with the hotel's PMS system, when they check in a guest, it changes the IPO configuration to put in the guest's name, so when they call to the front desk you can greet them by name. It removes the name when they check out. It bars the phone when the room is unoccupied, and turns it on when checked in. The mailbox is cleared upon checkout, so you don't have to go in and check for messages and clear them when a guest leaves. DuVoice themselves supplies the computer that it runs on, and their professional services will handle the integration to the hotel's PMS, so you just handle the IP Office programming.

Sounds promising. I actually have a quote for DuVoice and the have an ESA option as well. Are there any particular phones that work better than others for the staff phones and the DuVoice integration? Looking at analog Scitec phones for the guest rooms and 9508's for the staff.
