Greetings, Does anyone have the procedure to back up and restore the Svmi 20i via an ftp client? I have only done it once a long time ago and can't remember how to do it. TIA

Why wouldn't you do the backup/restore via DM?
If you really want to do it via ftp, then it's the same as the svmi20e
/dta/*.tbl /mbx/*.* /ext/*.*

There is a zip file that samsung put out a while ago that does the backup for you.

You don't need the tool. Just put the 20e in backup/restore mode from operating utilities, connect to the LAN IP with an FTP client and download the files/folders nameless mentioned. The tool is literally just an FTP client that downloads those folders.
