I have a Customer with a Call Pilot 150/Mini on an Option 11 that will not boot up. I am not near the site so I have to depend on what they tell me. Also am not familiar with a Call Pilot 150/Mini on an option 11. I am assuming that it is the same body as a CP150 for a Norstar with a different PCMCIA card for the software. Can we replace the cabinet and reuse the PCMCIA card without having to reinitialize and rebuild the system? Been a while since I worked on any of these Call Pilots. Any info would be helpful. Thanks.

I am not familiar with the Mini either.
But since it is almost the same as a 150, have you tried checking the power supply.
If it is a 9v 3-prong power supply, probably just change it out.
If it is a 8v 2-prong power supply, check it out.
Have them unplug it for about 10-15 min then plug it in and watch the lights.

If NO lights - change the P/S.
If lights seem to start and then never finish - may want to change the power supply to see if that fixes it.
If it boots up and then later quits- change the power supply.

Other than that, connect a laptop to the serial port and see what it says.

Also search this exact phrase: CallPilot Mini Installation and Maintenance Guide
In there has similar troubleshooting tips.

If you can take a pic of that PCMCIA card and post it or the text on it for curiosity.

Power supply.
I've had both a 3 prong and a 2 prong go bad on me (different systems).

It was down all weekend. They came in this morning and decided to give it a try. Pulled out the PCMCIA card and gave it a shot of canned air and put the card back in. They plugged it back in and it booted right up this morning. Hopefully it will stay running. The unit looks Just like a Call Pilot 150 for a Norstar. The Nortel part number is NNTMN1006HVC NTAB9825. I don't have a picture of the PCMCIA card or the part number for it.

Good to know about the power supply. I forgot how touchy those things can be. If I remember correctly, the power supply for the RAD will work on the Call Pilot in a pinch.
