I'm Standing..(With my hand on my heart) I would like to watch some Football now, please keep the politics out of it!!

No more football for me, at least until they respect this great country

I'm done with the NFL too. It's probably just as well. I was spending way too much money on the sport anyway, whether going to the games or by going to a sports bar to watch.

We usually go to watch football at a local bar with 10 to 12 friends. This Sunday, no one wants to go. Good for us. So trying to figure out what to dol. i suggested the Bronx Zoo. Thought I would be laughed at. Nope, that's where we are going.

Screw Footballs anti American stance.

They have the right to disrespect our flag and country. WE all have the right not to watch or support them.

Protests, won't stop me from watching the Chiefs. I don't agree with them, but evidently they have the right. I am shocked at the numbers behind boycotting the NFL games, burning the jerseys, etc. As it goes on, I wonder how many modifications will be made in the protests, such as what the Cowboys did the other night.

When at a game, standing, hat off, hand over heart when they play the National Anthem! But do you jump off the couch at home to stand when watching a game and it comes on? I don't, but rethinking it.............

I stand, hand over heart, when I'm at home when the Anthem starts. Even if I'm alone.

Problem is the NFL is violating its own rules by allowing it to go on.

Near as I can tell trying to do some research on this, prior to President Trump's rant just 3 players in the NFL were protesting in this manor. A report on 8/15/17 stated that Marshawn Lynch, Michael Bennett and Colin Kapperinick were the ones not standing during the anthem. Like the rest who have posted I don't agree with this type of protest as in my opinion they are protesting the wrong thing, it's not, by there own statements a protest against the flag or anthem. I'm not as offended by this as I was during the protest of the Vietnam war when flags were burned and dragged through the dirt, but I still don't think this is the way, the flag has been a target of protest every since there's been a flag. Personally I liked the way the Cowboys did it, a show of solidarity prior to the anthem than standing for the anthem.

Right now it's more of a stance on solidarity with those the President said should be fired than a protest against anything and in my humble opinion he's more to blame with escalating numbers that are standing with their fellow players compared to those who were protesting prior to his speech. The best fix would be one muzzle, but that's just my opinion.
