Using OS500 with the config. of 40 Trunks + one PRI + 8 Dli +256 SLi

We are having issues of call drop and some times one way speech path

we are using
One ESM on MCP2 card
One RCM2 on MCP2 Card
One SCM/MFM on SCP2 card

Can this issue could be from SCM/MFM card (Should we increase SCM/MFM if yes where to install;
on LCP2 ??

Thanks for kind support every time

On multi cabinet os500 (iDCS500 r2 for the usa) we only ever put the esm card on the mcp2, all other cards (misc, etc) went on the scp2.

The rcm2 card provides cid on analogue trunks to digital and slt extensions.
The mfm card provides dtmf receivers for slt phones. They are only used when a slt phone goes off hook until dialing is complete.
The esm card provides extra speecg channels for the 2nd and 3rd cabinets.

I remember a tech built a system and forgot the esm card and had no speech on phones in cabint 2

The phones that get no speech, are they in c2 and/or c3?

You're pushing the limits of the os500, you may have a faulty esm card.
If a mfm card is faulty (or you have no dtmf receivers available) you can't dial out.

Additional scm/mfm cards came be installed in either lcp2.

Are all lcp2 cards the same firmware version as the scp2?

Call drop and one way speech path issues come on incoming calls.
Issues coming to operator sets which are working by Cabinet-1
Firmware needs to be check of LCP2 & SCP2
I will replace ESM card as you per your advise + power supply as well for safe side

Thanks for the kind support

If it's cabinet 1 then not likely to be the ESM, are all sets on the same card?

mostly complaint raised by operators (Same Cab. same card).
Can i see the activity of these calls via some serial port.
i have to re check that this issue is on one cab or all,as per operators when they transfer the calls ,thier users complaint that one way communication and then they drop the call.

tomorrow i will replace the ESM and both power supplies of the cabinet + MCP2 as well.
