Going through an old box of telecom stuff , I found a Mcgohan 600 ohm matching trasformer that plugs into a tube amplifier for telephone paging . what memories that brought back during the early days of interconnect when you were dirt under ATT nails

That reminds me of when I was cleaning out my garage just after I sold the house a couple of years ago. I came across an old rotary test set in an old file cabinet drawer. Boy, did that make me feel kinda old.

If it was one of the old Beco black sets you could always use it for a hammer.

Any one here ever install or work on the old NEC Xbar switches ? We installed one in the then new Marriot Hotel near the LAX airport . We get a report of problems with a
suite room phone I go to the occupied room and Mohamed Ali is sitting on the bed . This is around 1973 he talked to me for about 30 seconds , he was so nice to talk to . Turns out the jack was miswired .

I worked on the old 120s and 409s. Also worked on the 31- a 4 stage Xbar - controlled by a CPU and the 21 - a 3 stage with a CPU.

Long time ago.

I worked on some 120s and a few 409s then the company closed its doors . I was out of work for a week and was hired by a company that sold TIE systems . When my payroll checks bounced twice I found another job in north Hollywood . I stayed with Compath for about 7 years , fun place to work except when you had to work on a Teleresource 32 pbx . what a piece of junk .
